Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older and a possible bladder growth has been spotted on an ultrasound scan of your abdomen
  • You are already planned to have surgery to treat a bladder tumour

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are older than 85 years of age
  • You are unable to have an ultrasound scan of your abdomen or rectum — for example, if you are unable to cooperate with the procedure or the images produced are not clear enough
  • You have had surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or other medical treatment for a bladder tumour within the last 3 months
  • You have a medical device currently fitted inside your body, such as a ureteral stent (a small tube placed in the urinary tract) or a urinary catheter (a tube used to drain urine)
  • You do not go on to have bladder tumour surgery within 2 weeks of having your ultrasound scan
  • Your tumour turns out not to be a specific type called urothelial carcinoma, or your diagnosis has not been confirmed by laboratory testing of tissue (confirm with trial site)
