Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older, either male or female
  • You have been diagnosed with a bladder tumor that has not grown into the bladder muscle, and there is no sign it has spread to other parts of the body, confirmed by a tissue sample analysis
  • Your bladder tumor is a specific type called urothelial carcinoma, or it is mostly made up of that type (more than half)
  • At least one of the following applies to you: your first bladder tumor removal surgery (TURBT) was incomplete or possibly incomplete; the tissue removed during your first surgery did not include a layer called the detrusor muscle (unless your tumor was low-grade or a specific early type called CIS); or your tumor is classified as T1 stage (confirm with trial site)
  • You are willing to provide a urine sample (about 50 mL) between 2 and 6 weeks after your first surgery and before a second surgery
  • You are willing to provide tumor tissue samples for examination
  • You are willing to undergo genetic testing as required by the trial
  • You agree to take part voluntarily, are willing to sign a consent form, and are willing to attend follow-up appointments throughout the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a medical reason that makes it unsafe for you to have bladder tumor removal surgery (TURBT)
  • You also have a cancer in the upper part of your urinary system, such as in the tubes that connect your kidneys to your bladder (ureters) or in the part of the kidney where urine collects (renal pelvis)
