Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 75 years old
- People who have received medical clearance from their doctor
- People who experience muscle stiffness (spasticity), pain, or overactive reflexes (hyperreflexia) due to a neurological or neuromuscular condition, or people who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis or Fibromyalgia
- People with Multiple Sclerosis who have had a confirmed diagnosis for at least one month
- People with Multiple Sclerosis who are able to walk on their own or with some support (based on a specific disability scale score below 7)
- People with Multiple Sclerosis who have not had a relapse (worsening of symptoms) in the last three months
- People with Multiple Sclerosis who show a certain level of muscle stiffness, as measured by a standard clinical scale
- People with Multiple Sclerosis who have a balance score that places them at a higher risk of falling, based on a standard balance assessment
- People with Fibromyalgia who have had a confirmed diagnosis for at least three months
- People who are able to understand and follow instructions, and can communicate pain or discomfort to study staff
- People who are able to walk at least 10 metres without a body weight support device, with or without walking aids or caregiver help
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have implanted medical devices that could be affected by magnets (for example, certain types of shunts)
- People who have swollen, infected, or inflamed skin, or skin conditions such as varicose veins or inflamed veins, in areas where the trial suit would be worn
- People who do not have an existing confirmed diagnosis related to their physical or neuropsychiatric condition before joining the study
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
