Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Long COVID, based on the World Health Organization's definition.
- You have been experiencing Long COVID symptoms for at least 6 months.
- You have a confirmed or documented record of having had COVID-19.
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- Before COVID-19 you had no limitations in daily life, but since then you have had some level of ongoing functional difficulty (confirm with trial site for exact scoring details).
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a long-term illness that was already affecting your daily functioning before COVID-19.
- You are currently taking medications that affect how your body processes substances (confirm with trial site).
- You drink more than 10 standard glasses of alcohol per week (where one standard glass contains 10 grams of alcohol).
- You are unable to read or understand spoken and written instructions in Dutch, French, or English.
- You have an allergy to medical sticky/adhesive bandages or plasters.
- You have porphyria or another skin condition that gets worse with sunlight exposure.
For people who have fully recovered from COVID-19:
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have a confirmed or documented record of having had COVID-19.
- You have fully recovered from COVID-19 and have never had Long COVID, based on the World Health Organization's definition.
- You had no limitations in daily life before COVID-19 and still have none today (confirm with trial site for exact scoring details).
- You are 18 years of age or older.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a pre-existing long-term condition such as high blood pressure, chronic breathing problems, or diabetes.
- You are currently taking medications that affect how your body processes substances (confirm with trial site).
- You drink more than 10 standard glasses of alcohol per week (where one standard glass contains 10 grams of alcohol).
- You are unable to read or understand spoken and written instructions in Dutch, French, or English.
- You have an allergy to medical sticky/adhesive bandages or plasters.
- You have porphyria or another skin condition that gets worse with sunlight exposure.
