Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be able to walk at least 10 meters (about 33 feet) on your own, without help from another person or a mobility aid.
  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of one of the conditions being studied, based on appropriate testing such as genetic tests or clinical assessment.
  • If you have Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 (DM1) or Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), you must show signs of nerve or muscle problems during a physical examination.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You may not be eligible if you are unable to walk on your own.
  • You may not be eligible if you have severe cognitive (thinking or understanding) difficulties that would prevent you from following the study exercises.
  • You may not be eligible if you have had surgery or a significant injury affecting your arms or legs within the last 6 months.
  • You may not be eligible if you have had another ongoing or recent neurological, hormonal, infectious, allergic, or inflammatory condition in the 3 weeks before joining the trial.
  • You may not be eligible if you are currently taking part in another clinical trial that involves a treatment or intervention.
  • You may not be eligible if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
