Who might be able to join this trial:

Who may not be able to join:
- People who are planning an extended trip or absence of more than 2–4 weeks in the next year, or who plan to move more than approximately 75 miles from the Pittsburgh area
- People whose BMI falls outside the range considered appropriate for their condition, as determined by the study team
- People who are currently taking weight loss medication, medication that affects appetite, or who have had weight loss surgery in the past two years
- People who have had a diagnosed eating disorder — such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or binge eating disorder — in the past two years
- People who are currently pregnant or who plan to become pregnant in the next 12 months
- People who regularly drink four or more alcoholic drinks per day
- People who have a cognitive condition that affects their ability to make decisions or manage their own affairs
- People whose responses to the "Everyday Autonomy Self-Determination Scale" indicate they do not make decisions independently
- People whose bedroom setup is found to be incompatible with the trial's special bed scales, as determined by the "Bed Determination Survey"
