- You have taken anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen) regularly in the past month
- You have diabetes, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure that is not well managed or controlled
- You have a known history of bleeding disorders, a condition involving too much iron in the body (hemochromatosis), or kidney stones
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have changed your birth control method in the past 3 months (for women)
- You take certain medications that may interact with vitamin C, including blood thinners, some antiviral drugs (e.g., indinavir), or certain antipsychotic medications (e.g., fluphenazine) (confirm with trial site)
