Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with a specific type and stage of lung cancer (non-small cell lung cancer, stages IB, II, or IIIA), confirmed by a lab test on a tissue sample.
  • Your tumor has been tested and found to have a specific gene change called a "ROS1 rearrangement."
  • Enough tumor tissue is available to be sent to a central laboratory for additional testing, which must confirm the ROS1 result before you can be enrolled.
  • You are 18 years of age or older (or 20 or older, depending on where you live).
  • You are generally well enough to carry out daily activities with little to no limitation (as measured by a standard medical scale).
  • You have already had surgery to remove your lung cancer, and all surgical edges came back clear of cancer cells.
  • You have fully recovered from surgery, including complete wound healing, and your surgery took place within an allowed time window before joining the trial — the exact window depends on whether you also received chemotherapy after surgery.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have had, or are planned to have, radiation therapy after surgery for this lung cancer (radiation given before surgery may be allowed, confirm with trial site).
  • You received any additional cancer treatment after surgery other than a standard platinum-based chemotherapy combination (up to 4 cycles), with some exceptions for certain immune therapies under specific conditions (confirm with trial site).
  • Your surgery was less than 4 weeks ago.
  • You had a smaller, limited type of lung surgery (such as removal of only a small wedge of lung tissue) rather than a more complete removal — though limited resections may be allowed for certain early-stage cases (confirm with trial site).
  • You have received any experimental treatment for a condition other than this lung cancer within the past 6 months.
  • Your tumor also has certain other gene changes (specifically in the EGFR or ALK genes).
  • You have a history of certain other cancers, with some exceptions for cancers that were fully treated and have not returned for more than 3 years.
  • You have had a significant heart problem in the past 3 months.
  • You have a history of high blood pressure that is not well controlled.
  • You have certain ongoing heart rhythm problems, an irregular heartbeat that is not controlled, or are taking medications known to cause a specific type of dangerous heart rhythm (confirm with trial site).
  • You currently have or have had a serious bacterial, fungal, or viral infection, including hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV.
  • You currently have or have a history of a lung condition called interstitial lung disease, or lung inflammation caused by a drug or radiation that required steroid treatment.
  • You are currently taking certain medications or foods that strongly affect how the body processes drugs (known as strong CYP3A inducers or inhibitors) within 14 days before joining (confirm with trial site).
