Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been newly diagnosed with, or are experiencing a return of, a condition called ANCA-associated vasculitis (specifically the GPA or MPA types), and whose doctors are considering treatment with rituximab or cyclophosphamide.
- People who have tested positive for certain antibodies (called PR3-ANCA or MPO-ANCA) either at the time of screening for this trial or in the past.
- People whose disease is active enough to meet a minimum level of severity, as measured by a medical scoring tool called the BVAS (confirm with trial site for exact score details).
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose primary illness is considered to be a different systemic disease, such as EGPA, lupus, IgA nephropathy, IgA-associated vasculitis, rheumatoid vasculitis, Sjögren's syndrome, anti-GBM disease, cryoglobulinemic vasculitis, autoimmune haemolytic anaemia, or mixed connective tissue disease.
- People who have bleeding in the lungs (alveolar haemorrhage) severe enough to require invasive breathing support (such as a ventilator) at the time of screening.
- People who have any other disease or condition that the trial doctor considers would put them at significant risk by participating.
- People who have a previously diagnosed chronic kidney condition where their kidney function has been stable for more than 3 months before screening, and has declined by less than 25% at the time of screening (confirm with trial site).
