Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are joining the trial willingly and are able to sign a consent form
- You are between 18 and 75 years old (any gender)
- You have been recently diagnosed with a type of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has spread locally or to other parts of the body, have not received any treatment for it yet, and cannot be treated with surgery or radiation aimed at curing the disease
- A lab test has confirmed a specific marker on your tumor called PD-L1 before you enter the trial
- You are generally active and able to care for yourself, with little or no limitation in daily activity (confirm with trial site)
- You are expected to live for at least 3 months or more
- You have at least one area of cancer that can be measured on a scan, according to standard guidelines
Who may not be able to join:
- You have cancer that has spread to the brain and has not been treated, or cancer has spread to the lining around the brain or is pressing on the spinal cord
- You have fluid build-up around the lungs, heart, or in the abdomen that is causing symptoms and is not under control
- You have had or currently have another type of cancer
- You have an active or previously diagnosed condition where your immune system attacks your own body (confirm with trial site)
- You currently have or have had hepatitis B or hepatitis C, or have a history of a weakened immune system
- You have had or currently have scarring or inflammation of the lungs (including from medication or radiation)
