Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older and have had pain or physical difficulty in your knee, hip, or lower back for more than three months.
- Your pain over the past week has been at least a 3 out of 10 on average, or your pain has interfered at least "somewhat" with your daily life (confirm with trial site for exact measurement used).
- You have at least one of the following lifestyle factors: you are overweight (BMI over 25), you do less than 30 minutes of physical activity on five or more days per week, you currently smoke or vape, you eat fewer than two servings of fruit or five servings of vegetables per day, you drink more than 10 standard alcoholic drinks per week or more than 4 in a single day, or you have poor or very poor sleep quality (confirm with trial site for exact sleep measure used).
Who may not be able to join:
- You are already receiving healthcare that addresses every one of the lifestyle risk factors listed above.
- You have had weight-loss (bariatric) surgery in the last 12 months, or you have planned weight-loss surgery in the next 6 months.
- You have planned joint or bone surgery in the next 6 months.
- A health condition or other constraint makes it difficult or unsafe for you to take part in the study, for example if you have memory or thinking difficulties, cannot use video/phone appointments, or cannot make changes to your meals or activity levels (confirm with trial site).
- Your pain is thought to be caused by a serious underlying condition, such as an infection, cancer, broken bone, a whole-body inflammatory disease, or certain nerve-related conditions (confirm with trial site).
- You are currently pregnant or planning to become pregnant in the next 6 months.
