Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be a Veteran who is eligible to receive PTSD therapy at the clinic taking part in this study
- You must be 18 years old or older
- You must score 31 or higher on a standard PTSD symptom checklist (called the PCL-5), linked to a traumatic event you have experienced
- You must own a smartphone or mobile device that can run a therapy support app (either the PE Coach or CPT Coach app)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently at serious risk of suicide and need immediate clinical support
- People who currently need help with detox from alcohol or drugs
- People who have psychosis or bipolar disorder that is not currently being managed or treated
- People with significant memory or thinking difficulties that would make it hard to follow the study's requirements, such as difficulty tracking a conversation or answering questions
- People who are currently receiving, or have received in the past 12 months, a specific type of PTSD therapy called Prolonged Exposure (PE) or Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
