Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with one of the following conditions by a doctor: Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Sjögren's Syndrome, Lupus (SLE), Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD), or Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA).
- You are 18 years of age or older at the time you agree to join the study.
- You can speak and read English fluently, and are able to have a conversation with study staff and understand study documents.
- You have access to reliable high-speed internet and a device (such as a computer, tablet, or phone) that can handle video and audio calls or streaming.
- You are willing to take part in an online health course focused on improving diet and self-care habits, and to complete online surveys over 6 months.
- You pass a short mental functioning quiz with no more than 2 errors (the number of allowed errors may vary slightly depending on your level of education — confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- You are unable to give your consent to participate, including being unavailable for a Zoom call with the study team during business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Central Time / Chicago time).
- You are currently taking part in another research study that involves a treatment, medication, diet program, or exercise program (studies where you are only being observed are generally fine).
- You are already following a modified Paleolithic, low-fat nutrient-dense vegetarian, or Mediterranean diet and sticking to it 75% of the time or more.
- You have a health condition that would make it unsafe for you to begin a gentle exercise program — for example, poorly managed heart, kidney, or liver disease in the past 12 months, or a serious mental health condition that might make it hard to follow the study's requirements (confirm with trial site).
