Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have a growth (mass) on your kidney that has been confirmed by a CT scan or MRI.
- Your doctors have recommended a surgery called a partial nephrectomy (surgery to remove part of the kidney, not the whole organ).
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
- You are expected to live for at least 6 months.
- You are generally able to carry out everyday activities with little or no limitation (confirm with trial site for exact fitness level required).
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you have had a negative pregnancy test within 24 hours before surgery.
- Any side effects from previous treatments have largely resolved and are only mild or absent.

Who may not be able to join:
- You only have one functioning kidney.
- You have more than one kidney mass, and more than one is being operated on at the same time or within 4 months of each other.
- You have significant liver or kidney problems, including poor kidney filtering function (confirm with trial site for exact test values).
- You have a condition that causes problems with blood clotting or excessive bleeding.
- You are unable to safely stop blood-thinning medication before surgery.
- You are currently taking part in another experimental (research) trial, or have done so within the last 30 days.
- You have a serious ongoing physical, neurological, or mental health condition that the lead doctor believes could put you at risk or affect your ability to complete the trial.
