Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- People whose overall health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a certain minimum level, as measured by a standard scoring system called the Karnofsky Performance Status (score above 80) (confirm with trial site)
- People who have been diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) — either confirmed through a tissue or cell sample, or diagnosed based on scan results and specialist team agreement when a tissue sample cannot safely be obtained
- People whose tumor is classified as early-stage (small, no spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body), based on CT and PET scan results, with the tumor being 3 cm or smaller
- People whose tumor is located more than 2 cm away from the central airways of the lungs in all directions (confirm with trial site)
- People whose lung function test results meet certain minimum levels — specifically, breathing capacity (FEV1) and gas exchange ability (DLCO) above set thresholds (confirm with trial site)
- People who are able to undergo a PET-CT scan
- Women of childbearing age who have had a negative pregnancy test within 7 days before the first study treatment
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had another type of cancer diagnosed within the past 2 years
- People who have previously had radiotherapy to the chest
- People who are planned to receive other cancer treatments at the same time as the trial treatment (within a 4-week window)
