Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 65 years of age.
- Part A only: People who are generally healthy with a BMI between 20 and 27 at the time of screening.
- Part B only: People who are generally healthy and have obesity, with a BMI between 30 and 45 at the time of screening.
- People whose body weight has been stable (less than 5% change) over the past 3 months.

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had any weight-loss (bariatric) surgery.
- People with a thyroid condition that is not well controlled, based on specific blood test results.
- People with abnormal liver function or a significant liver condition — the specific cut-off levels differ between Part A and Part B (confirm with trial site).
- People with abnormal pancreatic function based on blood tests — again, the specific cut-off levels differ between Part A and Part B (confirm with trial site).
- People with significant heart conditions, such as a history of heart attack, heart failure, or a heart rhythm disorder called long QT syndrome.
- People whose kidneys are not functioning well enough, based on a specific blood test measure of kidney filtering ability.
- People who test positive for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV at screening.
- Women who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or currently breastfeeding.
- People with a history of drug or alcohol misuse — this includes drinking more than 14 standard drinks per week in the past year, or testing positive on a drug screening test.
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial or used an experimental treatment within the past 30 days, or within 5 half-lives of that treatment, whichever is the longer period.
- Part B only: People whose blood sugar control measure (HbA1c) is 6.5% or above, or who have a history of type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
- Part B only: People whose obesity is caused by another hormonal condition, such as Cushing's syndrome.
- Part B only: People who have used weight-loss medications (such as GLP-1 receptor agonist injections or other anti-obesity medicines) or blood pressure medications within the 3 months before screening.
- Part B only: People who have used cholesterol-lowering medications, unless they have been on a stable, unchanged dose for at least 3 months before screening.
