Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 12 and 18 years old
• Both you and your parent/guardian speak English well enough to understand and agree to take part in the study
• You have been formally diagnosed with ADHD, confirmed through a structured interview used by the research team
• Your parent/guardian completed a specific behaviour questionnaire (BRIEF-2), and your scores in the areas of working memory and self-control were above a certain level (confirm with trial site for exact score details)
• You have an IQ above 70, as measured by a standard assessment

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a brain or nervous system condition caused by a known genetic disorder, stroke, tumour, cerebral palsy, a serious head injury, or significant physical differences in appearance
• You have a history of fainting spells that may have been seizures
• You have a history of seizures or epilepsy, or a close family member (parent or sibling) has epilepsy
• You have a condition where your nervous system is getting progressively worse over time
• You have a serious ongoing medical condition that is not well controlled and could become an emergency if a seizure were triggered (such as certain heart or breathing conditions)
• You have metal implants in your head, brain, or spine (dental fillings and implants are generally fine — confirm with trial site)
• You have makeup or piercings that cannot be removed
• You have a pacemaker, an implanted medication pump, or a type of brain fluid drain called a shunt
• You have a vagal nerve stimulator, deep brain stimulator, or a similar electrical nerve device
• You show signs of increased pressure inside your skull (confirm with trial site)
• You have a known lesion (abnormal area) inside your skull
• You have had a head injury that caused you to be unconscious for a long period of time
• You have had a problem with substance use or dependence in the past six months
• You are currently taking prescription medications (not including ADHD stimulant medication, which may be reviewed individually) that are known to lower the risk of seizure
• You are currently experiencing psychosis or a manic episode
• You are currently having active thoughts of ending your life
• You are currently pregnant
• You have a significant problem with your vision, hearing, or speech
• You currently have dental braces
• You are currently in the care of the state (a ward of the state)
