Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged 20 years or older
• Adults who are otherwise healthy but take prescription medication to manage high blood pressure or osteoarthritis (joint disease)
• People who are not regularly active, or who only walk for activity, and have not followed a structured exercise program for at least the past six months
• People whose weight has stayed relatively stable over the past six months, with less than a 5% change in body weight

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have been diagnosed with a heart or blood vessel condition, a metabolic condition, a kidney condition, or a lung condition
• People who have been diagnosed with any form of cognitive dysfunction (problems with thinking or memory)
• Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
• People who take prescription medication to control blood sugar levels, or medication that affects metabolism (such as thyroid medication)
• People whose weight has gone up or down by 5% or more in the past six months
• People who currently smoke
• People who have taken part in a structured exercise program — such as weight training, jogging, swimming, or cycling — in the past six months (walking alone is acceptable)
• Adults aged 60 or older who score above 4 on a short memory and thinking test given at the first lab visit
