  • People who have had a major heart or stroke-related event in the past 3 months, such as a heart attack, stroke, or unstable chest pain, or who currently have severe heart failure symptoms
  • People with very high blood pressure that is not under control at their clinic visit
  • People with known active or chronic liver disease, or abnormal liver blood test results above a certain level
  • People with known chronic inflammation of the pancreas, or who have had an episode of acute pancreatitis in the past year
  • People who are currently pregnant, within 3 months of giving birth, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the trial
  • People who have significant problems with how their stomach empties food, or who regularly take medications that affect how the digestive system moves food
  • People who have received an organ transplant or are waiting for one
  • People who currently have active cancer or are receiving treatment for cancer
  • People with an underactive thyroid that is not being treated and has certain abnormal blood test results, or who have symptoms related to an underactive thyroid
  • People with a serious mental health condition such as major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or significant anxiety, or who have a history of a suicide attempt
  • People who score 15 or higher on a standard depression screening questionnaire at the start of the trial
  • People with a known history of drug or alcohol use disorder that, in the opinion of the trial doctor, may prevent them from completing the trial
  • People who have used marijuana in the past 3 months and are unwilling to stop during the trial
  • People who are unable to give themselves injections of the study drug and do not have a trained support person available to help them
  • People whose cognitive (thinking or memory) difficulties, in the opinion of the trial doctor, would prevent them from safely taking part in the trial
  • People who do not speak English
  • People who do not have access to WiFi, which is needed for exercise sessions in the trial
  • People who live in a location where the trial medication cannot be shipped, based on current pharmacy restrictions at the organising institution (confirm with trial site)
