Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women who have gone through menopause and are between 50 and 75 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis based on a bone density scan result (called a DEXA scan), with a T-score of -2.5 or lower
- People who have been in menopause for at least one year
- People who are able to walk on their own without using any walking aids, such as a cane or walker
- People who are willing to take part in the study and have signed a consent form agreeing to participate
- People who have good enough cognitive (thinking and memory) function, as measured by a standard screening test (a score of 24 or above on the Mini Mental Test)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose osteoporosis is caused by another medical condition, such as a hormone disorder, a metabolic condition, or a medication
- People who have had a broken bone in the lower limbs or surgery on the lower limbs within the last 6 months
- People with serious heart, neurological (brain or nerve), or musculoskeletal (muscle or joint) conditions
- People who have balance problems related to inner ear issues or vision problems
- People who experience discomfort with virtual reality technology, such as dizziness or nausea
- People who have taken part in a regular physiotherapy or exercise programme within the last 3 months
