- You have a narrowing, pouch, or other structural problem in your throat or esophagus that could make it difficult to pass a medical camera (confirm with trial site).
- You have achalasia or another serious condition affecting how your esophagus moves food.
- You have a serious blood-clotting disorder.
- You have diabetes that requires insulin injections.
- You have ongoing or long-term abdominal pain.
- You have a condition affecting how your stomach moves or empties food, such as gastroparesis.
- You have significant liver disease or cirrhosis.
- You have a severe or poorly controlled mental health condition.
- You have problems with alcohol or drug dependence.
- You are not willing to follow a diet and behavior change program supervised by a doctor, or you are unwilling to attend regular follow-up visits.
