Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 65 years old.
- People who are currently receiving care from the Black Country Perinatal Mental Health Service.
- People who are experiencing trauma symptoms related to a birthing experience that happened within the last 18 months, including the birth itself, a postnatal hospital stay, and/or a baby's admission to a neonatal unit.
- People who have access to technology such as a laptop and internet connection, which would allow participation in an online group.
- People who have access to a private, confidential space at home and childcare arrangements for their baby and any other children during sessions.
- People who are sufficiently proficient in English to take part in the group.
- People whose clinical presentation means they are able to participate in group therapy (confirm with trial site).
- People who have the capacity to give informed consent to join both the therapy group and the research study.
Who may not be able to join:
- Women or birthing people whose baby is no longer in their care.
- People who have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, psychosis, or schizophrenia, or who have severe and long-term mental health conditions.
- People who have a significant sensory impairment, such as requiring a British Sign Language interpreter.
