Who might be able to join this trial:
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI) — a measure of body weight relative to height — is above 26 kg/m²
- You have been officially diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes for at least 6 months before joining the trial

- You currently have symptoms of heart failure
- You have a known ongoing serious illness, other than high cholesterol or high blood pressure
- You regularly take medications that can affect fat or sugar levels in the blood — including insulin, certain over-the-counter medicines, or hormonal contraception — though some exceptions may apply:
- If you take statins (cholesterol-lowering medication), you may still be eligible if you stop taking them 2 weeks before the study day
- If you take tablets for diabetes or blood pressure medication, you may still be eligible if you skip them on the day of the study only
- If you take a weekly injectable diabetes medication called a GLP-1 receptor agonist, you may still be eligible if you stop taking it 1 week before the study day
