Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are willing to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part
- People aged 18 to 75 years old
- People who have not yet received any treatment for their cancer
- People who have been diagnosed with a certain stage of throat cancer (specifically hypopharyngeal carcinoma, stage III or IVA) that can be surgically removed, and whose tumour shrank by at least 50% after initial pre-treatment (confirm with trial site)

- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who have had a serious allergic reaction to either of the study medicines (sintilimab or nab-paclitaxel) or any of their ingredients
- People who have heart or blood vessel problems, or other health conditions, that are not well managed or controlled
- People who have an active autoimmune disease, or a history of one, that has required ongoing medical treatment
- People who have, or have previously had, a second unrelated cancer
- People whose doctors consider them unsuitable for the trial for any other medical reason
