Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with a cancer of the head or neck area that has not spread to other parts of the body (confirmed by a biopsy or lab test)
- You are between 18 and 65 years old (inclusive)
- You are reasonably able to carry out daily activities — your overall physical condition has been rated as good to moderate by your doctor (confirm with trial site)

- You have taken antibiotics, antifungal medicines, or antibacterial mouthwash within the last month before joining the study
- You have poor oral hygiene and/or serious gum disease
- You have previously received radiation therapy to the head or neck area
- Your doctor feels you are not suitable for the study because of another serious health condition (confirm with trial site)
