Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial
  • You have been diagnosed with active non-infectious anterior uveitis (inflammation at the front of the eye that is not caused by infection) that requires starting or increasing steroid eye drops to control the inflammation
  • Your symptoms started within the last 4 weeks

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a serious eye condition in the eye being studied that could prevent you from completing the trial or affect the results, as decided by the doctor running the trial
  • You have a history of, or currently have, cancer in or around your eye
  • You have a type of eye inflammation affecting the middle or back of the eye, or other documented inflammation at the back of the eye
  • Your uveitis is confirmed or strongly suspected to be caused by an infection, such as CMV, herpes simplex, herpes zoster, syphilis, tuberculosis, or Lyme disease
  • You have a known allergy or sensitivity to either of the trial medicines: tacrolimus or semifluorinated alkanes (SFA)
  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
  • You have any other condition or circumstance (for example, a language barrier, difficulty cooperating, or a history of substance misuse) that the trial doctor believes could put you at risk, affect the trial results, or make it difficult for you to participate (confirm with trial site)
