If you are a patient:

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have been diagnosed with a psychiatric condition (such as a mental health disorder) by a psychiatrist, or a neurological condition (such as a brain or nervous system disorder) by a neurologist

If you are a healthy volunteer:

  • You currently have a diagnosed mental health or neurological condition, or you are currently taking medication for a mental health condition

  • You have a history of problems with substance use (not including tobacco)
  • You have a history of neurological problems such as stroke, epilepsy, coma, or a known memory or thinking difficulty
  • You are unable to complete thinking and memory tests, for example due to difficulty with movement or your senses

If you are taking part in the MRI scan part of the study:

  • You have a pacemaker, heart valve, implant, or metal object in your body that is not safe to use in an MRI scanner
  • You are pregnant at the time of the MRI scan
