Who might be able to join this trial:

• Adults aged 18 or older with normal bone density, confirmed by a special bone scan called a DXA scan, and no history of bone diseases, major organ problems, or long-term inflammatory or immune conditions (this group serves as healthy comparison participants)
• Adults aged 18 or older who have recently been diagnosed with primary osteoporosis based on DXA scan results, and who do not have serious complications that could affect the study results
• People who are willing and able to sign a consent form and take part in study procedures, including giving blood and serum samples and having health information recorded

Who may not be able to join:

• People whose osteoporosis is caused by another medical condition, such as parathyroid problems, cancer, chronic kidney disease, liver cirrhosis, rheumatoid arthritis, or other immune system diseases
• People who have taken vitamin D supplements, osteoporosis medications, steroid medications (glucocorticoids), or any other medicines that affect bone or vitamin D levels in the three months before joining the study
• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or people with a mental health condition that would make it difficult to participate in the study procedures
• People with active infections, cancer, or serious heart, blood vessel, liver, or kidney disease that could affect the study results
• People who have had a blood transfusion in the month before joining the study, or those who are unable to provide blood samples as required
