Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with post-COVID syndrome (also called long COVID), meaning you still have symptoms after having COVID-19
  • You are experiencing ongoing tiredness (fatigue) and/or difficulty carrying out everyday activities related to your long COVID
  • You are able to understand what the study involves and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
  • You are able to attend and take part in the activities and check-ins required by the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently taking part in another structured exercise or rehabilitation programme
  • You have a serious heart condition or another uncontrolled health condition that makes physical activity or electrical muscle stimulation unsafe for you
  • You have a neurological condition or a severe disease affecting your nerves or muscles
  • You are taking anabolic drugs or any medication that could affect how your muscles work
  • You are pregnant
  • You have epilepsy
  • You have active skin sores, wounds, or skin conditions in the areas where electrical pads (electrodes) would be placed on your body
  • You have recently had surgery related to cancer
  • You currently have an acute blood clot in a vein (acute venous thrombosis)
  • You have a cardiac pacemaker or any other implanted electronic or conductive medical device
  • You have any health condition that the study team believes would make it unsafe for you to participate (confirm with trial site)
