Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have a blood cancer and are planned to receive a specific type of stem cell transplant using a partially matched donor (called a haploidentical transplant)
- People aged 18 or older, of any gender
- People who are largely able to carry out daily activities with little to no limitation (as assessed by their doctor using a standard scale)
- People whose doctors estimate they have more than 6 months to live
- People whose kidneys are functioning well enough, based on normal or near-normal blood test results
- People whose liver is functioning well enough, based on normal or near-normal blood test results
- People who are able to understand the study information, sign a consent form, and are willing to follow all study requirements
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have an active infection that is not under control, or another active cancer that could interfere with taking part in the study
- People with serious heart conditions, including severe heart failure, uncontrolled high or low blood pressure, or a history of or high risk for blood clots
- People who are currently taking blood-thinning medication to treat a clotting condition
- People who are known to have had an allergic reaction to romiplostim or similar medicines
- People who have used certain platelet-boosting medications (called rh-TPO or TPO receptor agonists) in the 30 days before joining the study
- People who have taken part in another interventional clinical trial in the 30 days before joining the study
- People whose doctor considers them unsuitable for the study for any other reason
