Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are willing to give written consent to participate (for those under 18, a parent or legal guardian must also give consent, and the young person may need to give their agreement depending on their age)
  • People who are older than 6 years and younger than 60 years old
  • People who have been referred for a first assessment for autism (ASD), major depressive disorder (MDD), bipolar disorder, or an anxiety disorder (separation anxiety, social anxiety, or generalised anxiety disorder), or who have already been diagnosed with one of these conditions but are not currently receiving treatment for it
  • People who receive a confirmed diagnosis of one of the above conditions based on standard clinical assessment at the trial site
  • People who have sufficient physical and sensory ability to complete the QbMobile test
  • People who have access to a compatible iPhone model that supports the QbMobile application

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with an intellectual disability (indicated by an IQ below 70)
  • People who have a diagnosis of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, schizophreniform disorder, brief psychotic disorder, psychosis due to a medical condition, PTSD, antisocial personality disorder, or borderline personality disorder
  • People whose primary diagnosis is ADHD (any type)
  • People who have a medical condition that could significantly affect test performance, such as a brain injury, Parkinson's disease, active epilepsy or seizures, ALS, multiple sclerosis, or any form of dementia
  • People with other conditions that could affect test performance, such as migraines, other severe headaches, or ongoing or acute pain
  • People who took prescribed medications the day before completing the QbMobile test that could significantly affect performance (for example, anxiety-reducing or sedating medications)
  • People who used alcohol or drugs on the day of testing in a way that may affect performance
