Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lungs with no known cause) or progressive pulmonary fibrosis (lung scarring that is getting worse over time)
• People who are about to start taking an anti-fibrotic medication for the first time — either nintedanib or pirfenidone (medicines used to slow lung scarring)
• People who are over 18 years of age
• People who are able to give their consent to take part willingly

Who may not be able to join:

• People who currently need to be fed through a tube into their stomach or intestines due to other health conditions
• People who have lost more than 10% of their body weight in the past 3 to 6 months
• People who have significant problems with their muscles or bones that may affect their muscle mass
• People who are receiving end-of-life care, where life expectancy is less than 6 weeks
• People who have previously taken an anti-fibrotic medication at any point
• People who are currently taking more than 10mg of prednisolone (a steroid medicine) per day
• People who have an implanted heart device, such as a defibrillator (ICD) or a permanent pacemaker (PPM)
• People who have heart failure
• People who are pregnant
