Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have been diagnosed with metastatic or advanced epithelial cancer (a type of cancer affecting the lining of organs or tissues) that has been confirmed by laboratory testing and shows a protein called HER2 on the cancer cells
- People whose cancer has at least one measurable area that can be tracked using standard imaging measurements
- People who are relatively well and able to carry out daily activities, rated as 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale of physical wellbeing
- People whose organs (such as liver, kidneys, and heart) are functioning at an adequate level
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have active cancer that has spread to the brain or the lining around the brain or spinal cord
- People who have any current acute illness, including a fever
- People who have a history of heart failure with symptoms
- People who have previously had lung inflammation or scarring (not caused by infection) that needed steroid treatment, or who currently have this condition
- People who have uncontrolled build-up of fluid around the lungs, around the heart, or in the abdomen
- People who have an active autoimmune disease (where the immune system attacks the body) that is unrelated to previous cancer treatment and has required ongoing medical treatment within the last year
