Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are willing to take part voluntarily, have been fully informed about the study, and have signed a consent form

  • Your cervical cancer has been confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy) as one of three specific types: squamous cell, adenocarcinoma, or adenosquamous carcinoma
  • Your cancer is at a certain stage — either an earlier stage with cancer found in nearby lymph nodes, or a more advanced stage that has not spread to distant parts of the body (confirm with trial site)
  • Your blood counts, liver, and kidney are functioning well enough to meet the study's requirements (confirm with trial site)
  • You have not received any previous cancer treatment
  • You are expected to live longer than 6 months
  • You have had a negative pregnancy test within 14 days before starting treatment, agree to use effective contraception during the study and for 6 months after, and agree not to breastfeed during the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your cervical cancer has been confirmed as a rare type called small cell cervical cancer
  • Your cervical cancer has come back after previous treatment, or has spread to distant parts of the body
  • You have received any prior cancer treatment
  • You have had another active cancer in the past 5 years (except certain minor skin cancers or very early-stage cancers that were fully treated)
  • You have an active or known autoimmune disease (a condition where your immune system attacks your own body)
  • You currently have an active infection
  • You have needed to take steroids or other medicines that suppress the immune system within the last 14 days before joining the study
  • You have had a blood clot in a vein or artery within the last 6 months
  • You have significant heart problems that are not well controlled
  • You have a known allergy to the study drug or any of its ingredients, or have had a severe allergic reaction to a similar type of medication before
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have a neurological or psychiatric condition that affects your thinking or memory
  • Your doctor believes there is any other reason that participating in this study would not be safe or suitable for you
