Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of cancer (squamous cell carcinoma) affecting the mouth or throat area, confirmed by a laboratory analysis of a tissue sample
- People who have had a physical examination including a camera examination of the nose and throat performed by an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon who specialises in cancer surgery
- People who have had a specific type of detailed neck and face scan with contrast dye (called a contrast-enhanced cervicofacial MRI)
- People who have had another specific type of detailed neck and face scan with contrast dye using a dual-energy CT scanner, including a particular jaw movement during the scan called a BOLT manoeuvre (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer type is something other than squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth or throat area
- People whose cancer is located on the lip
- People who have a medical reason that prevents them from safely having one or both of the imaging scans required
