Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with migraine by at least two pain specialists or neurologists
- People whose migraines have been ongoing for at least 3 months
- People aged between 18 and 65 years
- People whose pain is still rated at 3 or higher out of 10 on a pain scale, even after trying standard medication treatments
- People who have signed a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had an allergic reaction to medications such as corticosteroids (a type of anti-inflammatory drug)
- People with a history of alcohol abuse; people who have used opioid pain medicines for more than 2 weeks, or more than 3 days per week for over a month; people suspected of using sedative or pain-relieving medications outside of prescribed use; or people who take steroid medications on a long-term basis
- People with serious conditions affecting the nervous system, liver, kidneys, heart, blood clotting, stomach lining, blood sugar regulation, or inflammatory joint and muscle diseases, among others (confirm with trial site)
- People who are unable to use pain rating scales to describe their pain levels
- People who currently have an infection, whether in a specific part of the body or throughout the body
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
