Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are generally in good health (those with stable, long-term medical or physical health conditions may still be considered, at the discretion of the trial doctor and study sponsor)
  • For the severe kidney impairment group: People whose kidneys are functioning at a very low level (a specific kidney function measurement below 30 mL/min), but who are not currently on dialysis
  • For the end-stage kidney disease (dialysis) group: People with end-stage kidney disease who have been receiving regular outpatient dialysis sessions (a specific high-intensity type called high-flux haemodialysis) at a healthcare centre for more than 3 months before entering the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • For kidney impairment participants: People who have a history of any other significant illness (apart from kidney impairment) that, in the trial doctor's opinion, could affect the study results or create additional risk from participation
