Who might be able to join this trial:

- For the severe kidney impairment group: People whose kidneys are functioning at a very low level (a specific kidney function measurement below 30 mL/min), but who are not currently on dialysis
- For the end-stage kidney disease (dialysis) group: People with end-stage kidney disease who have been receiving regular outpatient dialysis sessions (a specific high-intensity type called high-flux haemodialysis) at a healthcare centre for more than 3 months before entering the study
Who may not be able to join:
- For kidney impairment participants: People who have a history of any other significant illness (apart from kidney impairment) that, in the trial doctor's opinion, could affect the study results or create additional risk from participation
- For healthy comparison participants: People who have a history of significant conditions affecting the hormone system, digestive system, heart and blood vessels, blood, liver, immune system, kidneys, lungs, urinary or reproductive system, or major neurological conditions such as stroke or ongoing seizures (some people with minor past medical events may still be considered at the trial doctor's discretion — confirm with trial site)
