Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children of any gender
- Children aged between 8 and 15 years old
- Children who have been diagnosed with migraine (with or without visual or sensory warning signs before the headache) according to recognised international diagnostic guidelines
- Children who have had at least 4 migraine attacks per month over the past 3 months
- Children whose migraines have a moderate-to-severe impact on daily life, as measured by a standard questionnaire used for young people (called the PedMIDAS score)
Who may not be able to join:
- Children whose headaches are caused by another underlying condition, such as an infection, a head injury, or a structural problem in the brain
- Children who have a known allergy or medical reason that prevents them from taking either of the study medications (flunarizine or propranolol)
- Children who have certain heart or circulatory conditions, such as a slow heart rate, problems with heart rhythm, low blood pressure, or asthma
- Children who may have difficulty following the study schedule or attending regular check-up appointments
- Children who have taken part in another clinical trial within the past 3 months
