Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You either had a confirmed positive COVID-19 test (any type) at least 3 months before joining the trial, OR a doctor at the trial site believes you had COVID-19 based on your symptoms after October 15, 2019, even without a positive test
- You have had ongoing symptoms for at least 12 weeks (and at least 2 months) since your COVID-19 illness began
- Your ability to carry out daily activities has been noticeably affected by your ongoing symptoms, as measured by a specific scale (confirm with trial site)
- You still have ongoing shortness of breath that is at least moderate in severity, at least 12 weeks after your COVID-19 infection
- You are still experiencing COVID-19-related symptoms at the time you join the trial
- If you are taking any medications for tiredness or memory/thinking problems, you have been on a stable dose of those medications for at least 4 weeks before joining, and you are willing to try to keep them the same during the study
- You are able and willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You are able to read and understand French
Who may not be able to join:
- You have previously been diagnosed with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) or fibromyalgia
- You were already on sick leave or receiving disability benefits at the time you first got COVID-19
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have had a heart attack within the last 12 weeks
- You are currently taking blood-thinning medications
- You have been diagnosed with glaucoma (a condition affecting eye pressure)
- You have severe emphysema that requires you to use oxygen at home
- You have a known problem with your heart's electrical system that affects its rhythm (confirm with trial site)
- You have a known allergy or sensitivity to a medication called bupivacaine
- You have previously had a procedure called a stellate ganglion block
- The trial doctor decides, for any medical reason, that the treatment being studied is not appropriate for you
