  • You have been diagnosed with a condition called Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD), confirmed using recognised international diagnostic guidelines.

  • You are currently taking part in another clinical trial.
  • You have used an experimental drug for pain relief within the last 30 days.
  • You have also been diagnosed with a nerve condition affecting your peripheral nervous system (the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord).
  • You have another active condition affecting your brain or spinal cord at the same time.
  • You have been diagnosed with a cognitive or mental health condition.
  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
  • You have a serious condition affecting your heart, liver, kidneys, or blood-producing system.
  • You have a device implanted in your body, such as a pacemaker or nerve stimulator.
  • You have a known allergy or previous bad reaction to electrical nerve stimulation treatments (TENS) or latex.
  • You have a reason why you cannot have an MRI scan.
  • You have any sores, wounds, or skin problems on your scalp.
  • The trial team decides there is another medical reason that could interfere with the study (confirm with trial site).
