Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of uterine (womb) cancer called endometrioid adenocarcinoma (low-grade, G1 or G2) or a pre-cancerous condition called atypical endometrial hyperplasia.
- People whose cancer or abnormal tissue, as confirmed by MRI or ultrasound, is limited to the inner lining of the womb or has grown less than halfway into the womb wall (this is known as early-stage disease, FIGO 2009 Stage IA).
- People aged 45 years or younger.
- People who wish to preserve their fertility and have given written consent to take part.
- People who do not have serious health conditions affecting major organs, such as severe liver or kidney problems.
- People who have no medical reasons preventing them from taking a hormone treatment called progestin, or from becoming pregnant in the future.
- People whose scans show no sign that the cancer has spread to other parts of the body.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer has grown more than halfway into the womb wall, or whose cancer is at a more advanced stage (FIGO 2009 Stage IB or higher).
- People whose cancer is classified as high-grade (G3) or is a type of uterine cancer other than endometrioid adenocarcinoma.
- People who have another type of cancer at the same time.
- People who have medical reasons that prevent them from safely receiving the treatments used in this trial.
- People with a known allergy to recombinant protein ingredients (confirm with trial site).
- People who have had an active infection or untreated abnormal vaginal discharge in the two weeks before enrolling.
- People who have previously been treated with high-strength progestin hormone therapy for longer than one month.
