Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 18 and 80 years old (any gender)
• You have been diagnosed with muscle-invasive bladder cancer (a stage where the cancer has grown into the muscle wall of the bladder) that has not spread to distant parts of the body, and your doctor has recommended chemotherapy before surgery
• You have not previously received any chemotherapy treatment delivered throughout your whole body (systemic chemotherapy)
• Your doctor has determined you are well enough to tolerate a chemotherapy treatment that includes a platinum-based drug
• Your general health and ability to carry out daily activities is at an acceptable level (confirm with trial site)
• You are able and willing to follow the trial's requirements, attend check-ups, and report any side effects
• You are willing to take part voluntarily and have signed a consent form after being informed about the study

Who may not be able to join:

• Your bladder cancer has reached a very advanced local stage (T4b) or has spread to other parts of the body, or your doctor feels you would not be able to safely undergo bladder removal surgery
• You have a weakened or damaged immune system (for example, due to HIV/AIDS, or because you are taking medications that suppress the immune system, or receiving radiotherapy)
• You have a known allergy to any of the study drugs or similar medicines or their ingredients
• You have been taking hormone-based medications long-term, or have a history of drug misuse or dependence
• You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant in the near future
• Your blood test results show abnormalities in areas such as blood cell counts, liver function, kidney function, or blood clotting — including things like low white blood cell or platelet counts, low haemoglobin (anaemia), poor kidney filtering ability, or abnormal clotting measurements (confirm with trial site for specific thresholds)
• You have been previously diagnosed with a bone marrow disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or a blood cancer called acute myeloid leukaemia (AML)
• You have a confirmed history of a significant neurological or psychiatric condition, such as epilepsy or dementia
• You have other serious ongoing health conditions — such as poorly controlled high blood pressure, diabetes, or thyroid disease — that could put you at risk or affect your ability to complete the study
• You have an active, uncontrolled infection, serious heart problems (such as heart failure, unstable chest pain, or irregular heartbeat), or other serious illnesses requiring additional treatment
• Your personal or family circumstances may make it difficult to safely participate or for the trial team to collect necessary information (confirm with trial site)
• Your doctor or the trial investigator feels for any other reason that this trial is not appropriate for you
