Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 to 70 years old (any gender)
  • People who have not previously received radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or targeted therapy for their cancer

  • People whose general health is rated as good to fairly well-functioning on a standard scale used in cancer care (ECOG score of 0–2)
  • People who have not been enrolled in another clinical trial in the 4 weeks before screening (confirm with trial site for details on exceptions)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose cancer has spread into nearby areas such as the throat, floor of the mouth, cheeks, neck, or other organs
  • People who have previously received chemotherapy or other anti-cancer drug treatments
  • People who have previously received radiation therapy to the head or neck area
  • People who have an active autoimmune disease that has required ongoing treatment
  • People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
  • People who have a serious infection that is difficult to control
  • People with a history of substance misuse, long-term heavy alcohol use, or HIV/AIDS
  • People who have another active cancer diagnosis (exceptions may apply for cancers that have been successfully treated with no signs of return for more than 2 years — confirm with trial site)
  • People whom the research team determines have other circumstances that would make participation in the trial unsuitable
