Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 75 years old at the time of signing the consent form
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of lung cancer (locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer) that has been confirmed by a lab test, and whose cancer has a particular genetic change called an EGFR Exon 19 deletion or Exon 21 L858R mutation
- People who have previously received one specific type of targeted cancer treatment (called an EGFR TKI) and one platinum-based chemotherapy treatment for their advanced or metastatic lung cancer
- People who are generally well enough to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation, based on a standard medical scoring system (confirm with trial site)
- People who have at least one area of cancer that can be measured on a scan and has not previously been treated with radiation
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain, provided the symptoms are well-controlled or stable after treatment (confirm with trial site)
- People with a current, past, or suspected lung condition called interstitial lung disease or pneumonitis (confirm with trial site, as this also appears as an exclusion — see below)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose lung cancer includes certain other cancer types, such as small cell lung cancer, neuroendocrine carcinoma, carcinosarcoma, or more than 10% squamous cell carcinoma, confirmed by a lab test
- People who have had another type of cancer within the last 5 years before starting the trial
- People who have a history of, or currently have, a non-infectious lung inflammation condition called interstitial lung disease (ILD)
- People who have previously received treatments targeting a protein called HER3, or any treatment that targets an enzyme called topoisomerase I, including a type of drug known as an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC)
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
