Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are willing to take part voluntarily and sign a consent form
  • People who have been confirmed through a tissue or cell sample to have cervical cancer (specifically squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, or adenosquamous carcinoma) that is not suitable for major surgery and/or intensive radiation treatment or combined chemotherapy and radiation

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have untreated or active cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord lining
  • People who have significant fluid build-up around the lungs, heart, or abdomen that is causing symptoms or is difficult to control
  • People who have had, or currently have, another type of cancer
  • People who have had a hole or abnormal opening in the gut or urinary/reproductive tract, or are considered at risk of developing one, within the 3 months before joining
  • People with a known or suspected lung condition involving scarring of lung tissue
  • People who have had a bowel blockage, or signs of one, within the 3 months before joining
  • People with poorly controlled heart conditions or significant heart disease
  • People who have had a blood clot in an artery or vein within the 3 months before joining
  • People who have had a serious infection within the month before joining
  • People with active hepatitis B or active hepatitis C, as determined by specific blood test results at screening
  • People who have had active tuberculosis within the past year, or who had active tuberculosis more than a year ago that was not properly treated
  • People with a history of immune system deficiency, a positive HIV test, other immune conditions present from birth or acquired, or a history of organ transplant
  • People who have received any systemic cancer treatment within 28 days before joining
  • People with uncontrolled psychiatric conditions, or a known history of alcohol misuse, drug abuse, or substance dependence, or who are currently incarcerated
  • People with any other condition that the trial doctor believes could increase risk, affect results, or make participation unsuitable (confirm with trial site)
