Who might be able to join this trial:

• You need to be having keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery for a gynaecological condition that is either non-cancerous (such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, or benign ovarian cysts) or an early-stage gynaecological cancer (early-stage womb, cervical, or ovarian cancer).
• You must have already had a detailed gynaecological ultrasound scan performed by an experienced specialist as part of your pre-surgery assessments.
• You must be physically able to have an internal (transvaginal) ultrasound scan and be willing to have this done.
• You must be between 18 and 50 years old (of childbearing age).
• You must be willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial.

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a severe form of endometriosis that has grown deeply into the back part of the pelvis, as this could affect the trial's test results.
• It is not physically possible for you to have an internal (transvaginal) ultrasound, or you do not wish to have one.
• The ultrasound cannot get a clear enough picture of certain pelvic ligaments (uterosacral ligaments) due to your anatomy or the location of endometriosis (confirm with trial site).
• You have a more advanced stage of gynaecological cancer beyond the early stages described above.
• You have a condition where one or more pelvic organs have dropped or slipped out of their normal position (pelvic organ prolapse).
• You have an active pelvic infection or inflammatory condition affecting the pelvis.
• You are experiencing a gynaecological emergency, such as a twisted ovary or internal bleeding.
• You have been through the menopause.
• You have had previous pelvic surgery.
