Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women who are female and between 18 and 45 years old (of childbearing age)
- People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or above, or a BMI of 35 or above along with health conditions related to obesity, meeting the standard international guidelines for weight-loss surgery

- People currently taking certain medications that may affect sexual function, including antidepressants, antipsychotic or psychiatric medications, beta-blockers, spironolactone, hormonal contraceptives (unless the same dose has been used for at least 3 months and will continue throughout the study), or hormone replacement therapy
- People with major uncontrolled health conditions (confirm with trial site)
- People who are heavy long-term smokers (based on a specific smoking history measurement — confirm with trial site for details)
- People with a history of pelvic floor surgery or a gynaecological cancer
- People whose partner has known erectile dysfunction or is taking medication for erectile dysfunction
- People who have had weight-loss surgery before (this trial is for first-time procedures only)
- People who are unable or unwilling to sign a consent form to participate
