Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women between 25 and 50 years old
- People with a BMI of 30 or above (up to 35), or a BMI of 27 or above alongside at least one health condition related to excess weight
Who may not be able to join:

- People who have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes

- People whose general practitioner or another medical professional has advised them not to exercise
- People who have a current injury, or had an injury within the last 6 months, that may affect their ability to do resistance exercise
- People who have done resistance training consistently in the past (more than 10 sessions per year)
- People who have taken medication or supplements known to affect muscle function or muscle mass within the last 6 months
- People who currently smoke, or who have smoked within the last 6 months
- People who are currently on hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
