Who might be able to join this trial:
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 30 or higher (this is a measure of body weight relative to height)

- You are currently pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding within the next year
- You are currently taking part in another weight-loss program
- You are currently taking medication specifically prescribed to treat obesity
- You have ever been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes
- You have been diagnosed with dementia
- You have serious mental health conditions that are not well controlled (confirm with trial site)
- You have advanced kidney disease (Stage 4 or higher)
- You have a dependence on alcohol or opioids (confirm with trial site)
- You have a history of anorexia or bulimia
- You have had weight-loss surgery (such as gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, or a gastric balloon procedure) in the past year
- You are currently enrolled in another research study looking at diet, exercise programs, medications, weight loss, blood pressure, or blood sugar control
- You do not plan to stay in the local area for the next year
- You have received or are expected to receive intensive cancer treatment (such as chemotherapy, radiation, bone marrow transplant, or cancer-related surgery — not including hormonal treatments like Tamoxifen) within the past six months or the coming 12 months
- You have other serious health issues or personal circumstances that might prevent you from completing the study (confirm with trial site)
