Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have Long COVID (symptoms continuing for at least 3 months after a COVID-19 infection)
- You are able to read, write, and understand English
- You have at least some symptoms related to your body's automatic functions (such as dizziness when standing, digestive issues, bladder problems, or sweating difficulties) as measured by a standard questionnaire called the COMPASS-31
- Any medications you take for Long COVID have stayed the same for at least the past four weeks
Who may not be able to join:
- You have paralysis of one vocal cord, or severe lung disease affecting your breathing capacity
- You have had a heart attack within the past year, or have any problem with your heart's electrical signaling system
- You have glaucoma (a condition affecting eye pressure)
- You have an infection or growth at the injection site, or a condition that affects your blood's ability to clot
- You have an active autoimmune condition (where your immune system attacks your own body)
- You had problems with your body's automatic functions (such as a condition affecting heart rate or nerve signaling) before you got COVID-19
- You have a psychiatric condition (such as severe anxiety or PTSD) that currently requires changes to your medication
- You have had major surgery or a stroke or similar brain/blood vessel event within the last three months
- You are allergic to local anesthetic (numbing medication), or you are unable to tilt your head back for any reason (such as severe arthritis in your neck)
- You have previously had a procedure called a stellate ganglion block
